The Drafting Process
Creating and following a specific process when writing, especially for professional purposes, gives confidence to writers and businesspeople worldwide. The drafting process is grouped into the following: Research and Works Cited, the basic outline and body development, and revisions.

Implementing the Works Cited page at the beginning of the drafting process gives the writer a chance to pull in direct quotations immediately after the basic outline is formed. After starting on the Works Cited page, the next step is to begin the basic outline, which provides a template for the document’s structure.
Basic Outline and Body Development
The basic outline lays out the barebones of the final document, allowing for direct quotations and citations to be easily added. Understanding the structure and organization it key to producing a successful piece. Writers gain more incite into the document’s overall direction as it pertains to purpose, scope, and audience when a basic outline is used in the drafting process.
